Our IT is internationally positioned. Our headquarters are in Neuffen, supplemented by IT hubs in Barcelona and Suzhou. This allows us to combine global perspectives with local expertise. Above all, our close cooperation with the business on digitization projects takes us not only to the group headquarters in Dettingen, but also to various locations worldwide.

Mobile working is part of everyday life in our IT & Digital department. Team days on site promote personal exchange, and our shared desk solution ensures flexibility – in line with our hybrid work culture.

Through our operating model for digital business transformation, we are connected with key players from IT and business on a daily basis. In addition, we promote exchange in the IT & Digital division through a variety of formats - from joint lunches with randomly selected colleagues to quarterly IT talks and international IT summits. This allows us to create encounters, share knowledge, and remain connected as a team - regardless of where we work.

We support around 800 applications, including SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow, Workday, and Salesforce. This enables us to create a modern, networked, and scalable system environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.

For the entire value chain, digitalization means greater traceability, depth of information, and transparency. At ElringKlinger, we use integrated software systems such as SAP Digital Manufacturing and Extended Warehouse Management so that we can, for example, exchange information with customers about the status of our products and their traceability even before the production phase is complete. This enables our customers in the OE segment to create a digital twin of the entire vehicle at virtually the same time.

In our digitalization projects, we use a mix of classic project management methods such as ITIL and Prince2 and, increasingly, agile methods such as SCRUM. This allows us to combine clear structures with flexibility and create space for joint design and further development. It is also crucial that our employees are empowered to work in a digital world. That is why, for example, we are accompanying our migration to S/4HANA with a change management approach.

At ElringKlinger, we use artificial intelligence in a targeted manner to promote innovation and collaboration. Our AI solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) support teams in simplifying processes, developing new ideas, and making everyday work smarter. In doing so, we attach great importance to transparency, fairness, and the protection of personal data. Decisions always remain in human hands – for us, AI is a tool that empowers people. We train our employees in the responsible use of AI and ensure that all applications are used ethically and securely. In this way, we are shaping the digital future together – openly, responsibly, and with real added value for everyone.
