What requirements must be met?
Good school grades, which are important for the vocational training profession, are a prerequisite for qualifying for the vocational training profession. In the application documents, it should be clear why exactly this profession was chosen and why you are suitable for this field.

What does the training plan look like?
There is an individual training plan for each vocational training profession. All departments relevant to training will be passed through during the training period. Between one and three months are usually spent with each department.

Are there specific contacts for trainees?  
Each training profession has its responsible trainer who assists the trainees with questions, problems and uncertainties and accompanies them through the entire training period.

Which training profession is right for me?
An internship can help to determine which profession is right for you. ElringKlinger also holds an information day on all aspects of training and studies in July, where you can find out about the training professions and courses of study on site.

How is training remunerated?
1st year of training: € 1,127
2nd year of training: € 1,197.50
3rd year of training: € 1,303
4th year of training: € 1,373.50

Are refreshments available on site?
There is a canteen on site (discount for trainees and students) - please bring some cash for this - vending machines and a free water dispenser.

How do you get to ElringKlinger by public transport?
Our plants can be easily reached by public transport. Bus and train stops are available directly in front of our sites:

Is there a youth and trainee representation?
Yes, ElringKlinger has a youth and trainee representation for trainees and students for all aspects of training and studies.

Will travel costs be reimbursed?
The travel costs to the vocational school will be reimbursed based on the public transport tariff.

Which location does the training take place at?
The training takes place predominantly in Dettingen. There are also training departments in our Neuffen and Lenningen plants.

Are trainees well prepared for pending exams?
As ElringKlinger has full-time trainers, trainees are very well prepared for upcoming exams.

Which university will the theory phases take place at?
The theory phases of the course take place at DHBW Stuttgart or DHBW Horb, depending on the degree course.

Werden Fahrtkosten erstattet?
Die Fahrtkosten zur DHBW werden nach dem Tarif des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs erstattet. Wahlweise gibt es einen Mietkostenzuschuss.

Gibt es die Möglichkeit, einen Auslandsaufenthalt zu absolvieren? 
Nach Möglichkeit wird während einer Praxisphase ein Auslandsaufenthalt an einem unserer ausländischen Standorte angeboten. 

Welcher Studiengang ist der Richtige?
Um zu wissen, welcher Studiengang passt, kann ein Praktikum helfen. ElringKlinger bietet zusätzlich im Juli einen Info-Tag rund um das Thema Ausbildung & Studium an, bei welchem man sich vor Ort über die Ausbildungsberufe und Studiengänge informieren kann.

Werden die Studenten mit Laptops ausgestattet?
Jede:r Studierende erhält zu Beginn des Studiums einen Laptop, den er für die Theorie- und Praxisphase verwenden kann. 

Which departments offer a student internship?
We offer students an internship in various areas:

• For familiarization with technical professions in a modern training workshop including electronics laboratory.
• For familiarization with commercial professions, for example purchasing, sales or accounting.

How long does a student internship at ElringKlinger last?
An internship usually lasts one week. We are not bound to any fixed periods.  

What application documents are required?
To make a selection, we need a covering letter with the desired area of work, the internship period, a CV and the two most recent academic certificates.

Are there any specific requirements/ is any specific knowledge required?
For a student internship, a clear application and good school grades are sufficient.

What tasks and activities are to be expected during the internship?
Different insights into the job-specific activities are provided during an internship. Small tasks in the respective area are carried out independently.

What should be brought along?
Writing material should be brought along for the internship. For working in the training workshop, it is advisable to wear clothing that can get dirty. Safety shoes, laptops and other materials are provided.

What are the working hours and break times?
An internship day lasts seven hours. There is a break for breakfast and lunch.

Will the internship be remunerated?
The internship is intended for professional orientation and is not remunerated.

Is an internship certificate issued?
In addition to a final meeting, an internship certificate will also be issued.

Can we offer family internships such as "We go to work"?
Unfortunately, this option is not available.
