The German Corporate Governance Code is an important set of statutory regulations covering the management and supervision of German exchange-listed companies. It contains internationally and nationally accepted standards on proper and responsible company management. It aims to produce a transparent and comprehensible system of corporate governance in Germany and furthermore to win the confidence of international and national investors, customers, employees and the public in the management and supervision of German listed companies. The Code clarifies the respective obligations of the management and supervisory boards to exercise due regard for social market principles in their endeavors to maintain the company as a going concern and create sustainable value.

For this reason, the ElringKlinger Group has developed a "Code of Conduct for Suppliers" that sets out expectations regarding the conduct of its suppliers with regard to human rights, fair working conditions, environmental concerns and corruption.

Suppliers working for ElringKlinger in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors undertake to comply with the "Supplier Code of Conduct" as part of the individual project.
