Calculation of emissions by multiplying the actual annual kilometers driven by the vehicles by the CO2 emissions stated by the respective vehicle manufacturer. The company car fleet includes all vehicles at ElringKlinger locations in Germany. The information on rental vehicles also includes all countries outside Germany.
Air travel from the locations in Germany, Switzerland, France, Romania, Hungary and, in some cases, the UK, as well as centrally recorded flights from the locations in Italy, Turkey and the USA.
Air travel from the locations in Germany, Switzerland, France, and Hungary, as well as centrally recorded flights from locations in the United Kingdom and the USA.
ElringKlinger paid to offset its emissions from gas consumption, the fleet, and air travel at its German production companies.
ElringKlinger specified the method of calculating the fleet data in 2023; previously, the contractually agreed kilometers were used for the calculation, on the basis of which the fleet emissions for 2022 amounted to 870 tons of CO2. By using the actual kilometers driven, the fleet emissions changed to 780 tons of CO2 for 2022. The total direct CO2 emissions as well as the total direct and indirect CO2 emissions for 2022 have also changed.
